Abstract
: SCM based Quick Response to the consumers蒺 demand is important for many industries to obtain competitiveness,
while the cooperation among channel members is a prior condition. This paper studies the evolvement of brand fashion distribution
channel in Japan as a case, and it reveals that the interaction between horizontal and vertical relations played an important role in
channel evolution, while the cross鄄section cooperation in the industry, which was formed with path dependence and influenced by
the conditions of consumption, technology and policy, made the base of the supply chain. The government can assist the con鄄
struction of supply chain by supporting the development of industrial standard and R&D activities.
