      以数字化引领绿色化是实现我国经济社会高质量发展的必由之路。就企业而言,如何有效利用数字技术助力经营可持续性和社会价值实现是一个重要话题。利用2010—2020年中国A股上市公司数据,实证检验了企业数字化对ESG表现的影响及其作用机制。研究发现,企业数字化对ESG表现起到促进作用；企业数字化通过提高绿色创新水平和内部控制质量,从而提升企业的ESG表现；创新驱动政策在企业数字化与ESG表现的关系中具有正向调节作用。进一步检验发现,企业数字化对ESG表现的促进作用在媒体关注度较高企业、市场化程度较高企业、高污染行业及高科技行业企业中更加显著。因此,企业应坚定数字化转型方向,借此提高在环境、社会和治理方面的综合表现；政府可利用调控政策进一步促进数字化和ESG的协同发展。 

英文摘要:

      To lead the greenization with digitalization is an important way to achieve high-quality economic and social development in China. The effective use of digital technologies can help companies improve their business sustainability and realize social value. Based on the data of China's A-share listed companies in 2010-2020, the study empirically examines the impact of corporate digitalization on ESG performance and its mechanism. The results show that corporate digitalization promotes ESG performance by improving the level of green innovation and the quality of internal control. Additionally, innovation-driven policies have a positive moderating effect on the relationship between corporate digitalization and ESG performance. Further tests show that the promotion effect of corporate digitalization on ESG performance is more significant in firms with high media attention and high marketization levels, as well as firms in highly polluting industries and high-tech industries. Therefore, firms should focus on digital transformation to improve their ESG performance; and the government can promote the coordinated development of digitization and ESG performance through regulatory policies.
