      Working for the people's wellbeing is an essential part of the Party's commitment to serving the public good and exercising governance for the people. In the decade after entering a new era, people's livelihood in China has been significantly improved in all respects, and safeguarding and improving people's livelihood has entered a period of pursuing quality. This requires meeting people's growing need for a better life, promoting people's all-round development, and achieving the common prosperity of all people. At the same time, safeguarding and improving people's livelihood also encounters many challenges, including the downward pressure on the economy, increasing aging of the population, profound changes in the employment structure, and widening gap in people's livelihood demands. Therefore, in order to safeguard and improve people's livelihood, we must adhere to the leadership of the Party and the people-oriented development, stick to the bottom line thinking, attach importance to key fields, improve the system and guide people's expectations. Moreover, we should adhere to the principle of development results achieved and shared by all people and the principle of seeking truth from facts and acting based on the capabilities; we should run education to the satisfaction of the people, so that the achievements of reform and development can benefit all people; and we should also promote the full and high-quality employment, improve the social security system, and strengthen the construction of Healthy China, so as to further safeguard and improve people's livelihood during the high-quality development. 
