      以信用卡为代表的消费信贷业务被认为是推动消费增长的重要措施之一,然而我国使用信用卡家庭的占比并不高。使用清华大学中国金融研究中心2011年中国城镇家庭微观调查数据,研究了金融素养与居民信用卡使用之间的关系。运用Probit模型和IVProbit模型研究发现,金融素养是影响居民家庭信用卡使用的一个重要因素,金融素养水平高的居民家庭使用信用卡的可能性更大,而且在选择信用卡时会进行对比的可能性也更大。此外,户主学历、家庭净财富和收入与居民信用卡使用显著正相关,而户主年龄与信用卡使用显著负相关。分地区研究结果显示,金融素养对东中西部地区居民信用卡使用和选择的影响效果存在差异。为了更好地推广信用卡使用,进而推动消费,应该加强普惠金融教育,以提高消费者的金融素养。
英文摘要:
      The consumer credit service represented by credit cards is considered to be one of the important measures to promote the growth of consumption. However, the proportion of households using credit cards is not high in China. Using the data in the year of 2011 “Chinese Survey of Consumer Finance and the Investor Education”, this paper investigates the relationship between the usage of credit card and financial literacy. Using Probit model and IVprobit model, the research finds that financial literacy is an important factor to influence the households to use credit cards. Those with high financial literacy are more likely to use credit cards and make comparisons when they choose different credit cards. Moreover, the households' education attained, net wealth and income are positively correlated with the usage of credit cards, which is negatively correlated with the household's age. The result of regional study shows that there is difference in the impact of financial literacy upon the usage of credit cards and the selection of credit cards in the eastern, central and western regions. It is necessary to strengthen the inclusive financial education to improve the consumers' financial literacy in order to promote credit cards better.
