Development of Producer Services and Upgrade of Manufacturing Industry in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia Region

      生产性服务业是制造业发展的高级要素，是制造业升级和效率提高的重要源泉。京津冀晋蒙地区是中国的主要经济区域之一，其制造业升级是全国产业结构优化的主要部分。使用2001—2011年20个制造业细分行业的面板数据，对京津冀晋蒙地区生产性服务业发展与制造业升级之间的关系进行实证分析，得出其生产性服务业发展与制造业劳动生产率提高具有显著正相关关系的结论。同时，从生产性服务业细分行业的角度出发，比较了京津两市对该地区经济发展的促进作用，以验证将京津两市设立为该地区生产性服务业发展核心的科学性与合理性。

英文摘要:

      The producer services industry is the senior element in the development of manufacturing industry, and is an important source to the upgrade and efficiency improvement in manufacturing industry. As Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, and Inner Mongolia Region is one of the major economic regions in China, the upgrade of manufacturing industry in the region is the main part of national industrial structure optimization. Using the panel data of 20 manufacturing sub-sectors during the years from 2001 to 2011, this article analyzes empirically the relationship between the producer services and manufacturing industry in the region, and concludes that there is a significant positive correlation between the development of producer services and the improvement of labor productivity in manufacturing industry. At the same time, from the perspective of subdivided industries of producer services, this paper compares the role of Beijing and Tianjin in promoting the development of regional economy in order to verify that it is scientific and reasonable to set Beijing and Tianjin as the development core of producer services in the region.
