      As a remarkably outstanding economist,Edmund S.Phelps won the 2006 Nobel Prize in Economics Science.One of his key academic contributions to macroeconomics is the innovation research on unemployment and inflation,including setting up separate islands,modifying the Philips Curve and presenting the natural rate of unemployment.His theoretical research has deepened the understanding of the intertemporal tradeoff between inflation and unemployment,which has a decisive effect on economic study and policy.
