      With regard to the functional features of Stock Index Futures as an instrument of financial innovation, in view of the development of both domestic and international capital markets, it is high time for China to issue Stock Index Futures. For the timely issuance of Stock Index Futures, attention should be paid to the following aspects: to select authoritative index as standard, to make a careful study on the risk types and to attach importance to institutional innovation and technological innovation.
